When Puffin a boutique wine bar tucked beneath The Intrepid Hotel in Wellington—reached out, they were looking for custom drink coasters that would match their refined vibe and serve a practical purpose behind the bar. Originally after 1000, they saw the value and scaled up to 3000 units, maximising their brand exposure with a lower per-unit cost.

We printed the coasters on 275gsm Drink Coaster Board—a stiff, absorbent, uncoated stock made specifically for bars and venues. Puffin’s bold branding took centre stage on the front, while the back featured ruled lines—ideal for jotting down notes, whether by the staff or their patrons. It’s a smart touch for a wine bar known for thoughtful service and attention to detail.

Print was handled on our Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4070, with automated quality control and built-in colour calibration. The result? Pin-sharp imagery and flawless consistency across all 3000 coasters. Each one was precisely diecut into a 93mm circle using our digital die-cutting machine—no cutting dies required, and no compromise on shape accuracy.
